I am not going to write for a few days. It is a silence to honor the lives of the people who were recently murdered here. It is a tragedy and I have no words to express my deep sadness. If you are interested, go to the Guadalajara Reporter site. It is all there on the front page. I pray for the families of these young people.
The Oregonian ran a story about this incident - a co-worker brought it to my attention yesterday. The murders were so brutal. It's hard to comprehend that humans (in this case, un-humans) could be so cruel. My prayers are also with the families who have lost their loved ones. May they find peace in their memories.
ReplyDeleteThank you. P
DeleteI read the Guadalajara Reporter article that you referenced. So brutal and sad.
ReplyDeleteYes, the town is in shock. Thanks for commenting. p
DeleteIt is clearly evident now that Mexico is out of control and ordinary citizens are not safe. Lets be real this does not happen in Canada.Mexico is a beautiful country but living without fear is everyones right. so until the Mexican government gains control moving to Mexico is totally out of the question.
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting. I hope things will get better. I understand your point of view. If I didn't already live here, I probably wouldn't move here, at least not at the moment. But I am here now. So looks like I will stay awhile longer and hope for the best. P
DeleteHello Patricia,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how the moral and sentiment of the community is post incident?
Hi Mike, Thank you for writing. I don't talk to very many people so I can't give you a good answer. I have a few friends who have decided to leave the area. Last night I met a woman who recently arrived here and is planning on buying a house here. So, feelings are mixed. Anger, Sorrow, Fear, so many different feelings that people are going through here.
