HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE

I am going to the Lake Chapala Society this afternoon for their buffet. I will put photos on my blog of it. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL. I am going to spend the morning thinking of all the gifts in my life. I remember when my son was a little boy, he asked me about the meaning of Thanksgiving. I told him it was so we can be thankful for everything we have and so he wanted to do just that. We went around the house putting signs saying Thank You on everything. We even stuck a sign on the dog..... My family: David, my son (he doesn't like me to take his picture so he isn't in it) Christine, my daughter-in-law, Betty, my ex-mother-in-law, and Carlos, my ex-husband. I am sad that I am not there with you. I love you all.

My Dietetic Hot Dog, Mexican Style

I am on a diet. So this is what I had for dinner. A hot dog with cream, avocado and tomatoes. It is a good thing I had help with eating it. The dogs loved their bites. Some diet!

Mexican Ingenuity

No clothesline? No problem. Just stick your wet socks in the holes of the fence. If I had tried this in the mobile home park where I live (lived) I would have immediately gotten an eviction notice. I love Mexico. So much freedom here.

Las Flores Plaza in Ajijic

This plaza is near where I am house sitting. It is on the western edge of Ajijic. You can see that it isn't built up much out here. There are several nice restaurants here and it is peaceful, especially now with all the noise in town. I am glad to be away from it all.

San Juan Cosala

I walked into San Juan Cosala after my interview with the woman at the Racquet Club. I remembered a great restaurant there. I met the three little children on my way into town. They lifted my spirits. I wanted to take photos of the meal I had at the restaurant and they also have interesting murals on the walls but my camera battery went dead again. Shucks! I need a spare battery at all times. The meal was chicken breast and rose petals. It was beautiful with pink and red rose petals around on the plate. Delicious, too.
