The end of a very special day for me. The dancing couple are Cassie Valenti and Christian Militello. Cassie makes videos for people. She can be reached at (045) 331 038 4129. One of her videos was played during the evening. It was great. Christian Militello is a waiter. My friend Stacey says he is excellent. He works at the Chili Bang Bar but it is closing down for awhile. He is looking for another job. He can be reached at Codigo33@hotmail.com or 331 434 9594. They are engaged to be married. What a beautiful couple.
There was another couple dancing. I didn't get their photos. I was sitting there watching them dance and feeling envious that the two women had dance partners. It dawned on me that I didn't want to have the dance partners. I just wanted to dance. So I plucked up my courage and got onto the dance floor. Stacey went out too. She is a great one for dancing alone. She has no fear. I love it. As soon as we got onto the floor to dance, five more single women joined us. I hadn't been out dancing much lately and I had forgotten how things are here. Many single women. We all had a great time.

A Fund Raiser at Las Caballerizas Coxala Restaurant
I had a lot of fun with my friends. It was a fund raiser at one of the beautiful restaurants at the Raquet Club in San Juan Cosala. My friend Stacey invited me to go with her and bought my ticket. Thank you Stacey! Danny was having a great time running around with all his new friends. The restaurant has a nice play ground. The woman singer's name is Lupita Jimenez. She is wonderful. Her e mail address: 1jmanjijc@hotmail.com Phone: (01-33) 105-06-31. The Mariachi group's name is Mariachi San Juan. Unfortunately I didn't get their information. They are from San Juan Cosala. A memorable day for me. My fourth of July celebration two days early.
Morning Walk and Sale at the Lake Chapala Society
The LCS sale was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it got rained out at noon. They are having it again today but I haven't checked the weather report. It may be another bad day for them. It was a lot of fun while it lasted. The men in the above photos were selling, or trying to sell, very spicy popcorn. They also had homemade ice cream. It wasn't an ice cream kind of day. A lot of people showed up. That beautiful woman with the dog in her lap is my friend Linda and her dog's name is Jelly Bean. They are just visiting for a few months. Looks like they are having fun here. The cat on the table is a stray. She has decided that LCS is her home now. She hangs around there most of the day. The women who sell tickets for the Red Cross had a bake sale. Delicious stuff. I ate too much of it. Ruined my dieting for the day... Oh well, another day, another temptation......

HOME SWEET HOME
There is nothing like being at home again. Chico is also happy. You can see by this photo that he has once again made my little casita his home. I have been house sitting for three months. That is a long time. I am glad dogs don't hold grudges. He just wagged his tail and jumped on my lap. It was as if I had never left.
My little place is musty because there isn't enough ventilation. It is cold, even in the summer. It doesn't have a kitchen. I rarely have hot water and when I do, it doesn't last long. I take quick showers. The electricity goes out often and then the water disappears. I hate to admit this but almost everyday I find dead cockroaches on my floor. Twice I found scorpions. (At least they were dead!) But it is the place I call home now, mostly because of Chico. Nothing like the love of a dog to make a place comfortable. I wrote in a previous blog about lacking a sense of purpose. I sure have it now. It takes a great deal of effort to live here. When I am here I am not so insulated from the outside world. Most of the time I have my door open. That uncomfortable edge keeps me on my toes and feeling more creative. Another good thing, I never worry about break ins.
I am very lucky. Chico belongs to my landlord so he has all the responsibility and I have all the fun. I like that system. A borrowed dog. Kind of like house sitting. I go in and borrow beautiful homes. They don't belong to me. I just enjoy them. I pay none of the bills.
I am going to the States next week but I may be back here soon. I am missing it already and I haven't even left. I feel badly about leaving Chico again, just when he is getting used to having me back. But I have to take care of some business up there. I am glad that dogs are so forgiving. I have been told that they have no sense of time. Wish I could be like that; always living in the moment. It is a good goal for me. There I go again, living in the future with goals.......
Post script: I just watched an amazing DVD: Ambition to Meaning, Finding Your Life's Purpose Starring Dr. Wayne W. Dyer Directed by Michael Goorjjian. Very inspiring!

Lazy Overcast Morning in Ajijic
I love it when I see that people are enjoying having their pictures taken. As I have already said, A smile is a message from God. A gift, reminding us that all life is precious.
