Another Sunset at Lake Chapala

Above is my friend Jose and his wife. I don't know her name. Jose is one of the waiters at La Bodega.

As you can see by these photos, it was a very peaceful evening by the lake. Just sitting there for a few minutes makes me forget about my problems. It is like meditating. Peace on the outside brings peace on the inside. At least for me that usually does the trick.

Waiting at the Bus Stop in Ajijic

Dale and I walked to the local bus stop. It was hot and I made him walk a long ways carrying lots of groceries because I didn't know a closer bus stop. Dale, if you are reading this, sorry.

The woman above was playing a little game with her baby. She was gently patting the baby's mouth. Made me think of little games I like to play with dogs. Sometimes dogs are a lot like babies except they never grow up and leave home. Hopefully and sadly, our babies do.

Another Wednesday Market in Ajijic

There are lots of fresh strawberries, raspberries and blackberries for sale now.

The man is pouring honey.

I took this photo of the beautiful baby. I didn't notice the handsome father until I put it on my blog. I guess it is another sign that I am getting old. I once told a woman friend that it was a sign we were getting old when we were admiring the horses and not the handsome young cowboys on the horses. Oh well, at least I see the handsome father now. Maybe I am not too old yet! My reaction time is just a lot slower.

Above is a pot of boiling corn.

I took the above photo to show how crowded it was at the market this morning.

Every market day this woman from the American Legion sells raffle tickets for different gifts. The money is donated to one of the local orphanages.

Sunset

The horse was by the water all day. Beautiful horse.

I went with Chico to the water last night to watch the sunset. It is nice to be back to my old routines.

The Lake Chapala Society on a Hot Tuesday Afternoon

A lovely photo of my friend Emily.

Chico and Emily and I spent couple of hours at the Lake Chapala Society this afternoon. It was very hot. We appreciated every breeze that came by. Chico was glad to get out of his yard. He got to meet new friends and he spent a lot of time just standing in my lap. A month is a long time to be away from a loving dog. Not many people were there. It is too hot to be outside in the afternoons now. I hope to get to a pool tomorrow. I haven't been able to swim for a couple of weeks and I miss it.
