I love looking at photos of flowers,...Hi Patricia,<br /><br />I love looking at photos of flowers, I have no prospect of flowers for a few months yet!<br /><br />I don't think you should feel lazy for wanting to stay in your beautiful yard - it's nice to have someplace you want to be, rather than being restless.<br /><br />I came across this poem carved on a bench in a beautiful garden in Ravello:<br /><br />Lost to a world in which I crave no part<br />I sit alone and commune with my heart.<br />Pleased with my little corner of earth, <br />Glad to have come, not sorry to depart.<br /><br />It was apparently adapted by D.H. Lawrence from a 2,000 year old Roman poem.<br /><br />I was thinking the other day - sometimes we feel we should be happy all the time, and if someone isn't feeling happy, they turn that into being 'unhappy'. But actually, it's possible to be quite content without feeling 'happy'. As you say, enjoy the happy feelings when they come, don't be sorry that they're gone.Janenoreply@blogger.com
